Ashtabula, OH: Rugged plastic fuel tanks from Meese Orbitron Dunne Company (MOD) are rotomolded in one piece to eliminate the joints, seals, solders, welds and threads that cause hazardous leaks and spills from complex metal fuel tank assemblies. Ideal for use in lawn mowers, tractors, weed wackers, and in other landscape and construction machinery and equipment, the versatile plastic tanks reduce weight and resist corrosion, while streamlining assembly and production processes.

By replacing multiple components and fasteners with a single plastic unit, the MOD fuel tanks eliminate several steps in product design, assembly and manufacture while delivering important savings in labor, time and materials.

Rotomolded from crosslinked polyethylene, the corrosion resistant fuel tanks are impervious to attack from acids, oils, solvents, salts, alkalis, and other chemicals that devour stamped steel and sheet metal.

Also resistant to extreme temperatures, the durable MOD tanks minimize heat exchange to maintain internal fuel temperature in a variety of severe, outdoor conditions. Virtually stress-free, the MOD plastic tanks are designed to distort in high temperatures without rupturing or catching fire to reduce the risk of explosion and safeguard personnel and property. Tank integrity is assured in temperatures ranging from 30 degrees below zero up to 200°F.

The innovative fuel tanks may be custom designed with MOD's in-house engineering staff to suit nearly any shape, configuration, capacity, or specification required. A partner in proprietary designs, MOD offers strict confidentiality in all phases of product development.
