NEW PRESIDENT NAMED AT PLASTICS DESIGN
AND MANUFACTURER MEESE ORBITRON DUNNE CO.
Bob Dunne Promoted After Driving Growth Of Custom Services Division
Saddle Brook, NJ: Plastics design and rotational molding firm Meese Orbitron Dunne Co. (MOD), Saddle Brook, New Jersey, has promoted product design and manufacturing authority Robert Dunne to President. To succeed Ron Midili, who is retiring after 18 years at the helm, Dunne’s appointment follows a stint as Vice President – Sales and nearly a decade as General Manager – Rotational Molding/Custom Services Division Sales Manager, where he catapulted the division to nine consecutive years of record-breaking sales increases. Mr. Dunne will take the reins of a thriving organization with four facilities nationally, 205 employees, multiple product lines and annual revenues approaching $25 million.
To assume the post effective January 1, 2005, Dunne will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, visions and policies of the company, encompassing marketing, sales, manufacturing, personnel, mergers and acquisitions and overall business management. A skilled plastics designer and manufacturer as well as an attorney registered with the Ohio Supreme Court and an accountant registered to practice in Ohio, Dunne brings a unique set of skills to the position, according to Midili. “In today’s business climate, Bob’s legal and accounting background will likely be as useful to him as president as his recognized expertise in product development and rotational molding,” says Midili. “Bob has played a key role in our growth and I'm confident he will succeed in his new position.” During Midili’s tenure as president, MOD expanded into growing markets as other markets matured, contributing to the continuous run of sales increases. “It’s been a privilege to work with so many talented, dedicated people at a time when the company grew beyond our expectations,” says Midili.
MOD offers product design, development and manufacturing services with state-of-the-art rotational molding facilities in Ashtabula, Ohio; Saddle Brook, New Jersey; Madison, Indiana; and La Mirada, California. MOD was established in the 1930’s and is a founding member of the Association of Rotational Molders.
